Blog & Podcast

There is something so special about getting to capture families in their various seasons. Becca was first a friend from campus crusades in college, and then last year, Soul Creations captured their wedding. Then most recently, we got to photograph them in the beginning of their next new journey: parenthood. Becca and Jared, we are […]

Jessamyn and Stephen are two of the most profound and stunning individuals we’ve ever captured. From gracing the halls at Hotel Carmichael to sauntering among pillars at The Palladium, these two are absolutely made for the camera – even though they’ve never modeled before! Beyond the absolute beauty we captured in our fun bride & […]

When we first met Natalie and Sean we knew right away that their devotion to following Christ outweighed every ounce of wedding planning that could take up their time. With COVID changing plans on them left and right, they truly took to heart keeping their eyes on Christ and continued pursuing a wedding day reflecting […]

We LOVED our time with this precious family. They are so so sweet and Rose is the cutest thing! We had a blast playing with leaves and walking around and being goofy to bring out adorable smiles and giggles. We are praying for a sweet settling in with this new babe’s arrival and praising God […]

Despite having rescheduled because of Covid, and despite the projected day-long thunderstorms, and despite a kidney stone for the father-of-the-bride, this wedding day was a dream; filled with joy and with peace and anticipation and celebration of what God was doing. Julia and Christian were so calm and peace-filled and excited– their long awaited wedding […]

Mady & Griffin’s wedding day was one of our second wedding back after Indiana’s shutdown order for COVID, and their story is an amazing one. With the reopenings, their wedding day was able to be moved just one day, which allowed all the guests they were hoping to come – attend! From a first look […]

Molly & Adam were a refreshing wave of calm in a time of constant uncertainty. As a wedding photographer, my heart breaks for couples who have poured so much of their dreams into planning their wedding day, just to have to change everything at the last minute due to circumstances far beyond their control. A time of excitement, anticipation, and joy can quickly turn into one of disappointment and defeat. For Molly & Adam, their commitment to each other and the Lord was what mattered most. They had a confident peace that shone through on a day that looked very different than what they had originally envisioned.

Did you have a rough morning with your toddler? Wishing your babysitter was available so you could have a little break? You aren’t alone, and if you’re like me – your identity may be getting lost in the daily rhythms of these groundhog days. My intention for this episode is to give you 3 steps to reset your heart and remind yourself of your identity during these hard days, and especially toddler tantrums.

This week, we are making a beautiful tribute to two sweet couples who were married on a separate date and in a different way than they had anticipated.

Yesterday (May 2) marked what was to be a special wedding day for one of our couples, Mary and Jules. Instead of marrying today, they married the night before Easter Sunday at the Easter Vigil Mass. Here is their story, we pray it shows the power of God and His divine intervention in every circumstance, and especially in Mary and Jules wedding day 🙂

In this pain, is there anything God can use for good? By the end of this week’s Soul Family episode, I pray your eyes are opened to seeking out the lessons you are learning during this time – and may they impact your heart, your mindset, and the way you show up everyday because challenge brings change.

Has your wedding has been postponed, rescheduled, or cancelled because of COVID-19? Are you now waiting even longer for the big day and reconfigure all the planning you have done? If so, this blog is for you, friend.

My intention for this blog is to give you 3 steps to prepare your heart and mind while you wait for stay at home orders to lift, and for your new wedding day to arrive. The goal is for you to walk away with a few ways to wait well and seek God, clinging to His Gospel truth through it all.

One thing that I learned during Holy Week in quarantine was that you are a necessary component to your family’s growth towards God. Without having a church to go to, bible study to attend, or festivities to celebrate together, it wasn’t very easy to feel like it was a special season.

Through this show, my intention is to give you resources to help you bring church to your home and let the beauty of Easter come alive where you are! Celebrate today and everyday as if it is Easter Sunday, because it is. Our Lord is alive, He is Risen. We are living life as a groundhog day of Easter Sunday 🙂

Now that you’re married, I’m sure you’ve noticed some things about your husband that make you think “Is that ever going to change?” Whether it’s leaving clothes out, the way he argues, or his lack of motivation or drive, your husband is human and there’s likely something you’ve noticed about his character that could use an upgrade.

Through this show, my intention is to give you the key to change within your husband, and 3 things you can do to aid in his journey as he becomes more like Christ and the best version of himself.
