Episode 23: Three Ways To Connect With Your Husband Everyday

This quarantine lifestyle is hard and emotional. Naturally, we often distance from our spouse when things get hard. Making the hard things even harder without our support close to us. Honestly, choosing to connect everyday does not come naturally when there are other family members to talk to and a toddler is running around.

After realizing the pattern, we changed a few things. This week, we started doing a few things differently to help ourselves live into our bond as a married couple by reconnecting throughout the day – which has helped us feel that we are on the same team and going through this together, supporting one another.

3 Ways To Connect With Your Husband Everyday:

  1. Hug each other while prepping for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

  2. Pray together before bed

  3. Go on a walk for 15 min after the workday is done to foster real-time connection and transition to evening – it’s like a date! Speaking of a date – DATE! Do 1 fancy-like thing just for your husband 🙂

Choose to connect

Your Reflection Questions:

  • When are you taking your walk?

  • Try it out: Hey! I want to hug you 🙂

  • What small prayer can you say together?

Deep love is continually fostered through connection, so get out there and hug the one person you chose to be with forever. Praying you have a peace-filled day!
