Episode 19: How To Support Your Husband In His Everyday

The questions that are answered in this podcast are:

  • How has your support of your husband impacted your marriage and children?

  • Can you explain support and submission? Trying to wrap our heads around that concept.

  • What does supporting your husband look like practically in his career and fatherhood, and spiritually in his relationship with Jesus?

  • How do you continue to support when you disagree?

  • Which season of life have you had the hardest time supporting and standing beside your husband, and what did you learn from those battles?

Out of everything Katie and I talked about, there’s a few things I wanted you to know in the below notes to keep as big take-aways!

  1. You can support your husband by submitting

  2. Submitting to your husband only comes after submitting to God’s Word, it is not recommended to submit to your husband if it would cause you (or him) to sin

  3. Get to know each other’s love languages and use them intentionally to love him well each day

  4. Communicate about decisions 1:1 if you do not agree and understand why

  5. There is a difference between supporting and pushing your husband in his relationship with Christ

  6. You and your spouse are on the same team

  7. How well you treat your spouse will be reflected in how well your children treat your spouse

  8. Set your eyes above, on the Word, and on each other!

Listen to the podcast to get the full breadth of the BEST examples, real-life stories, and reflections 🙂

More than anything, I pray you lean into each other, give one another huge amounts of grace as you walk through this uncertain time.
