Today, we wanted to share 3 social distancing tips for your wedding week so that you can still enjoy, celebrate, and dance the way you were wanting to with your closest friends and family – even when you are far apart. Here are our tips to making community feel close even in the quarantine:
-
Utilize Live-Streaming For Your Wedding!
However you end up doing it, have someone record for your ceremony for those at home. This allows friends and family to celebrate with you, even while they may be far away. You may also be able to include those who would not have been able to originally come due to distance.
-
Get one of these 19 best cameras for live streaming for any budget on a tripod and learn how to set up the livestream or Set up a Facebook group for your day and use it to livestream!
-
Prior to the day, send our an email, Facebook group message, or invitation to let the guests know the link for the livestream
-
Invite guests to dress up and take photos of themselves to post online and/or in your Facebook group, using your wedding hashtag
-
Invite guests to comment throughout the wedding so that you can see who was there and what scripture passages or moments they were most moved by
-
-
-
Take that Bridal Party to Zoom!
Bridal showers don’t have to be passed up, take them online too!
-
Have the guests send gifts to the bride’s address and at the appointed time, start a video with the whole group and enjoy opening gifts while those you love just like you would’ve in person!
-
Encourage guests to have a His or Hers favorite cookies or drinks nearby to munch on and enjoy
-
Lots of classic bridal party games (Recipe Contest – where the recipes are sent to bride beforehand and the one she likes the most wins, Bridal Libs, or Bride and Groom Trivia)
-
-
Get The FaceTime Video Bachelorette Party Started!
For a virtual bachelorette party, send each bridesmaid and the bride a Bachelorette Party treat and drink box that they open while everyone is on the call together at the appointed time.
-
Make the bride’s special with gifts that she gets to open later on in the night.
-
Have a dance party
-
Play classic bachelorette games like The Newlywed Game or What’s in Your Cell Phone / Purse / House (Participants get points for finding something on the list within the contents of their phone)
-
Lead a cooking class for an easy dessert like chocolate chip cookies or drink like The Cinderella Mocktail or La Croix – asking each gal to have the needed ingredients in house to follow along or sending them those in their treat box too!
-
While we may be far apart because of a quarantine, we don’t need to feel that way. Connect with those you love and you will see that celebrating can still be super sweet and even more creative and intentional!
