We got to the prep room and found that it was placed high in the sky where the trees live. We walked up the stairs and I couldn’t help but think how perfect this room was for Becca’s wedding day beginnings. You guys, she and Jared absolutely love nature, it makes me so so happy 🙂 

She put on her dress, and I couldn’t help but tear up – fairy princess turned angel later on the steps of the church she said I Do in – I couldn’t help but turn emotional. This sweet woman of God had been with me in the beginnings of Soul Creations in college, and here she was lightyears later marrying the love of her life while I captured it.

Jared and Becca are two of the most peaceful people I know. Almost nothing can uproot their calm, and that serenity had its way the entire day. Jared, looking absolutely fly in his tweed suit had only a few words to say and lots of small smiles in between the camera clicks.

My favorite part of the day, though, was when the camera’s weren’t clicking. During their First Look after we had captured just enough of what we needed, we put our cameras down and let them have a moment to themselves. We left them there to have the absolute silence and quiet before the day began, and I watched them hug for just a moment before leaving them completely alone. 

Witnessing such extraordinary peace is not something you see everyday, but Becca and Jared have it. It’s so deep, so persevering that it can only come from Jesus, and it will continue to come from him day by day by day as they grow in marriage 🙂
